Since high school I always had a passion for fitness and wellbeing. I wanted to somehow inspire and motivate others to lead a healthy life through fitness and nutrition but didn’t have the right tools and didn’t really know how or where to start. I had my first child in 1999, so there was no time to pursue my fitness passion. I had a regular 9 to 5 job for about 6 years. When I had my second child I was struggling to loose those last stubborn 10 lbs. I wanted to get my body tight and firm again so I decided joined a gym. I began working out and cut my calories by half. I thought this was the way to get fit fast, much to my surprise it didn’t. I felt tired, hungry and had little to no energy, not to mention my body was not firm. I felt defeated and was thinking to myself how could this be? I’m going to the gym 5 days a week, not eating as much and there is still no real change.
I decided to hire a personal trainer. My trainer taught me how to incorporate weight training and healthy eating into my exercise routine, he taught me that cardio and starving myself was not going to firm and tone my body. 3 months into my personal training sessions I noticed my body was transforming, it was the best I had ever seen it. I felt great, both physically and mentally and didn’t want to stop. Through his motivation and knowledge and my hard work and commitment I was finally seeing results! This is when my fitness career began. I wanted to motivate, inspire and share my fitness knowledge with others and that it is possible to reach your fitness goals while still juggling life. When I got my personal training certification I never looked back. Since then I also obtained my Zumba License, Spinning Certification and TRX Certification and began teaching countless classes through out the GTA. Today I train women and continue to motivate, help and inspire them to reach “their” fitness goals!
Be the best you
